QTU’s Practical Subjects campaign survey

Over the past six months the Queensland Teachers’ Union has established a Practical Subjects Campaign reference group after members across the state raised concerns about class sizes and safety.

The QTU has also launched a ‘Staying Well’ campaign where we will be looking at ways to address member workload and wellbeing. You can contribute to this important work by completing the survey in the link below:

https://www.research.net/r/QTU_Prac_Subjects_Survey

The survey is aimed at teachers teaching practical subjects in, Home Economics, Industrial Technology and Design, Agricultural Services and VET in schools programs and will be open until COB Friday 3 November 2017.

We are gathering data on the following issues:

  • facilities
  • human resources supply
  • curriculum design and offerings
  • workforce planning

The results will be used by the QTU Practical Subjects Campaign reference group to inform the next phase of the campaign and will inform future negotiations with the Department of Education and Training.

Please consider taking some time to complete the survey and encourage your colleagues to participate.

Thank you in advance for your support for this important campaign activity.
